Mara's Homemade began in Manhattan to offer customers Simply...Good Food. It quickly evolved into American Southern cuisine for a change of taste in the city. We strived to bring authentic flavors of America to both locals and tourists.

Mara Levi

Mara's culinary journey began during her childhood, where she learned to cook from her grandmother and honed her baking skills with her aunt. Her passion for cooking led her to create her very first original recipe at the age of 12. Over the years, Mara's culinary adventures included cooking, hosting and catering parties, managing a coffee house and running a successful restaurant for two decades. Today, Mara is excited to share her cherished recipes, culinary secrets and learned techniques to keep the cuisine she loves alive. Join her as she shares stories, techniques and fun to tantalize your taste buds!

Josh Levi

Josh, on the other hand, grew up in a family where cooking was a shared passion. With his love of cooking and talent for creating unique dishes led him to pursue a formal culinary education at Johnson and Wales University. There he achieved a Culinary Arts Associates Degree and furthered his knowledge with a Bachelor's Degree in Restaurant Management. With a background spanning over 25 years in the hospitality industry, in New York City restaurants and in the family business, Josh is eager to share his skills and techniques with you.
